The Book Of Mormon tickets

New York, you’re in for the best kind of surprise as The Book of Mormon, one of Broadway’s wittiest, cleverest, and most humorous musicals is arriving and performing in New York on Tuesday 13th May 2025 at the one and only Eugene O'Neill Theatre! Take part in a musical showing that makes you laugh and love classical musicals, full of hysterical and humorous twists.

Produced from a collaboration of the creators of the famous comedy TV series South Park and the play Avenue Q, The Book of Mormon features two Mormon missionaries, Kevin Price and Arnold Cunningham, as they try to convert local villagers in Uganda. In similar fashion to their previous creations, the musical takes the serious subject of religion and satirizes it through both writing and music.

As Ben Brantley of The New York Times states, just like South Park, it is “also blasphemous, scurrilous and more foul-mouthed than David Mamet on a blue streak. But trust me when I tell you that its heart is as pure as that of a Rodgers and Hammerstein show”.

Make the most out of your chance to be one of the lucky ones and get a seat to this unforgettable show, before they run out!

Premiering in 2011, The Book of Mormon has undoubtedly been one of the most accomplished Broadway musicals since its creation. A collaboration by Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez, the musical is based on the Latter-day Saints (LDS) founder and prophet Joseph Smith and his Book of Mormon. The show was originally meant to debut off Broadway at the New York Theatre workshop after its 2008 staged reading, though this turned out to be a blessing in disguise as its actual premiere in 2011 moved to a more known location at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre.

In just a year, the Broadway play was already given the go-ahead for a U.S. national tour that lasted four years, including a run in Salt Lake City, Utah! The show also proceeded to be performed in several locations, with a Chicago production performed in 2012, a West End production in 2013, and Australian and Swedish productions both performed in 2017.

The story and execution of this musical were key factors to this success. It shares the story of Elder Kevin Price and Elder Arnold Cunningham, two LDS missionaries who prepare to preach their faith in a remote village in Uganda. It is there that they contend with the indifference of the locals, as well as their opposite methods in preaching their faith, given that Cunningham lies to the villagers by injecting fictional parts from science fiction and fantasy stories into his religious teachings, while Price is resolved to teach the villagers in the usual, orthodox manner. The way the Book of Mormon is shared with the audience is staged in quite an unorthodox manner as well, usually satirizing religion in its script and also injecting humor in both of its acts, including its upbeat showtunes.

For its current season, the Book of Mormon will be in New York in May at the central theatre venue of Eugene O'Neill Theatre, which holds an outstanding stage, sound system and acoustics, and finest facilities that is fit for this word-class show.
